The 1993 Dallas Cowboys bid for a second straight Super Bowl title got off to a rocky start when running back Emmitt Smith held out of training camp and the first two regular season games.
On the surface, you would think this Dallas team could still compete—there were still two key elements of “The Big Three” in quarterback Troy Aikman and wide receiver Michael Irvin.
