Let’s go down south into SEC country, in the state of Alabama. The Crimson Tide won their first national championship in 13 years. Who would be the NFL choice here? We should probably say New Orleans based strictly on geography. But the Bayou produces a prominent SEC rival and that could lead to spillover bad blood. So let’s go one state more to the west and settle on the Dallas Cowboys, which was another case of historically great organization returning to the top. So the Notebook gives its 1992 tip of the cap to the people in Alabama who root for the Cowboys on Sunday, as we look back on the last few months of that year
