If I Had A Dime In Vegas…
The Notebook's weekly Saturday morning feature of what I'd do if I were in Las Vegas this weekend with cash to bet football, continues on. The premise of the series is that I started off with $1,000. A lousy start had me down below $750 by the end of September. I changed strategies last week and instead of focusing on a couple big bets, I picked 14 games over Saturday-Sunday, with smaller amounts hypothetically designated for each game. A 9-4-1 weekend finally moved the dollars back upward and I'm sitting at $775.70 as we come into October 8's games (The odd seventy cents comes from the 10 percent bettor's tax or "juice" that's paid out on losing bets, of which I've had my share).
I'm going to stick with the tactic of spraying the board this weekend and there's 20 games that have caught my eye. I'm going five bucks apiece on each one. Here's the list…
